Aaaah Bothersome Bug Relief works to repel mosquitoes, many species of flies, bees, and other flying and crawling insects. This unique formulation of essential oils and other natural ingredients has been blended to provide horses and their people with pleasant smelling and long-lasting relief from the irritation of bothersome bugs. All of the ingredients are acknowledged by the EPA as effective insect repellents and/or are classified by the FDA as GRAS (“Generally Regarded As Safe”) food ingredients.
We created this blend as an alternative to existing bug repellents, most of which are chemically based and often toxic. In fact, we noticed that when we used commercial "fly sprays", our horses would run away when they saw the spray bottle come out. Now the come around when the flies are bad, and stand still when we spray them. We also use it on ourselves.
It is a repellent, not an insecticide, so it doesn't actually kill the bugs ... just keeps them away. I've been in a virtual swarm of mosquitoes, yet none of them landed on me.
